Booker Group announced this week that they have made an agreed bid for rival Metro UK business.
The deal to take over the 30 Makro sites will cost Booker £15.8 million plus 9.9% of Booker’s shares. With a typical depot around 100,000 square feet and with a much higher number of SKUs, this will dramatically change what Booker do.
For a company close to bankruptcy not so many years ago their fortunes have improved dramatically. Definitely a company that is looking to the future!
