Bombay Sapphire has announced the launch of two new ready-to-drink (RTD) can flavours.

After entering the RTD space with Bombay Sapphire & Tonic last year, Bombay Sapphire is adding Bramble & Tonic and Bombay Sapphire & Light Tonic to its range.

The new flavours come as the supplier says that demand for premixed drinks is forecast to grow by 32% in the next four years, as shoppers look to balance premium options with convenience.

Bramble & Tonic features Bombay Sapphire’s Bramble berry gin, which launched last year, while Bombay Sapphire & Light Tonic is a lower-calorie version of the original RTD version which also launched last year. It also has 92% less carbohydrates than the original.

Both flavours will be available to convenience retailers this summer, starting with Nisa in May, following supermarket launches across April and May, at an RRP of £2.80.

Natasha Burtin, Bombay Sapphire global vice president, said: “Summer is just around the corner and the popularity of RTD just continues to grow. Whether it’s al-fresco events, relaxing at home, entertaining friends or on the move, the premix is skilfully crafted to showcase the signature juniper and citrus notes of Bombay Sapphire gin.

“We have also seen research that shows 90% of RTDs are consumed in the home which is testimony to the versatility of the category.”
