Bestway announces three new senior hires

Bestway Retail has revealed its three new hires to support independent retailers

Bestway Retail has has announced three new senior hires to its retail team as part of the brand’s commitment to ‘support independent retailers’.

Nick Russell has rejoined the business taking up the role of head of symbol. Russell, who previously worked for Costcutter, will lead the independent best-one and Costcutter estates.

Meanwhile, Steve Moore will lead the Midlands and South Wales team from January 2025 in a new role of regional controller for Costcutter and Best-One.

Finally, Rodney Tucker has rejoined the organisation in the new business and acquisitions team where he will drive the recruitment of new business in the Southwest and South Wales territories.

Bestway’s shareholding in Sainsbury’s exceeds 5%

Jamie Davison, retail director at Bestway, said: “We are delighted to welcome back the very talented Nick, Rodney and Steve to their new roles within the business. They bring with them valuable expertise, knowledge and sector understanding that will support our growth plans and the service we offer our valued retailers.”

Up until 2021, Russell worked for Costcutter, eventually leading the new business team. Russell then moved on to expand his experience in the grocery sector as head of independent franchise and new business at Morrison’s Daily.

Moore also previously worked for Costcutter, and is rejoining from Parfett’s where he held the role of head of retail.

Finally, Tucker was previously in regional management positions within Costcutter and Best-One, but most recently was a sales director for Spar Appleby Westward.
