Ben Hanlin announced as host of Fed Awards 2025

Event will recognise independent retailers and suppliers across the UK and Ireland in 18 categories

The Fed has announced that TV presenter, magician, and social media personality Ben Hanlin will host the 2025 Fed Awards. The event will recognise independent retailers and suppliers across the UK and Ireland in 18 categories. It will take place at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on Wednesday 18 June.

Commenting on the appointment, a Fed press release said: “For over a decade, Ben has performed his funny, interactive magic on TV shows all over the world, while simultaneously hosting radio shows and large global corporate events.

“In recent years, partly due to the initial effects of the pandemic, Ben has refocused his energies back to social media, and his magic has now been watched by billions of people globally and gained him over two million followers online,” the Fed added.

Mo Razzaq, National President of the Fed, said: “The Fed Awards are always a highlight of the year for independent retailers, and we are excited to have Ben Hanlin as the host for what promises to be another memorable evening.”

The Fed launches member benefits scheme

As well as the awards ceremony, the Fed describes the event as bringing together industry professionals for a night of recognition and networking.

Notable categories include Best Customer Service, Best Use of Social Media, Community Champion of the Year, Convenience Store of the Year (independent and symbol), and a new category recognising Employee of the Year.
