Beer Hawk captures retailers who hunt for single orders

Online retailer Beer Hawk has launched a new trade service, giving convenience stores the chance to bolster their craft beer ranges.

Online retailer Beer Hawk has launched a new trade service, giving convenience stores the chance to bolster their craft beer ranges.

The service has no minimum order for any single beer and retailers are free to pick and mix from the range. The minimum spend for orders is £50.

Founded in 2012, Beer Hawk has so far been mainly focussed on consumers. The new trade service offers discounted prices and next day, two-day or Saturday delivery options.

Zoe Piper, marketing manager for Beer Hawk, told Retail Express it would help companies that wanted to offer a wide beer range but might not be able to always afford wholesale minimum orders.

“We’ve been a consumer-facing site for four years and we kept getting enquiries about doing larger orders. We launched the trade service three weeks ago and it’s done very well so far,” she added.

Beer Hawk’s range contains 500 premium beers from well-known, upcoming and niche brands.

Mark Roberts, founder and director of Beer Hawk, said: “We reject 29 out of 30 beers that are offered for inclusion in Beer Hawk’s range and, as a result, can rightly claim to have the best range of craft beer in the country.”
