Archant has launched a ‘Shop Local’ campaign to encourage shopping in local independent retailers, with editorials across the publisher’s regional titles.
An article in the Eastern Daily Press reads: “Shop Local is a use-it-or-lose-it plea to shoppers
to consider independent traders and businesses this Christmas and beyond in a bid to bolster our beloved high streets.”

The publisher surveyed retailers on how they’re faring during the Covid-19 pandemic and spoke to MPs.
Chloe Smith, MP for Norwich North, said: “We need our local shops more than ever.”
Matt Hancock, health secretary and MP for West Suffolk, said independent retailers are “the lifeblood of our communities”.
