Allwyn and Snappy Shopper expand scratchcards to 172 retailers

The expansion follows a successful summer 2024 trial, with £150,000 in sales already generated

The partnership between National Lottery operator Allwyn and online home delivery platform Snappy Shopper has been expanded, enabling 172 independent National Lottery retailers to sell scratchcards online.

The expansion follows a successful initial small-scale trial in summer 2024. The new initiative has already generated £150,000 in sales for participating retailers.

To take part, retailers must meet several criteria, including using their own staff for home deliveries and completing all necessary safeguarding training through the National Lottery Retail Training Centre.

Alison Acquaye-Acford, Allwyn’s director of commercial partnerships and retail sales, said: “By integrating National Lottery Scratchcards into the platform, local retailers are unlocking new revenue streams while enhancing their digital offerings to meet evolving consumer habits.”

Mike Callachan, CEO of Snappy Shopper, added: “We are thrilled to see 172 of our partner stores benefiting from this initiative, which has already generated significant sales. The demand proves that customers want seamless access to National Lottery products from their trusted local stores.”

Through the sale of tickets and scratchcards, National Lottery retailers help raise around £30m each week for good causes.
