Additive value from JPS

An additive-free cigarette has launched exclusively in the south-east to tap into high demand in the area.

An extension of Imperial Tobacco’s JPS portfolio, JPS Just Additive Free come in Kingsize 19s and are situated in the economy sector, RRP £6.55.

The cigarettes were made available to selected south-east retailers from April 21. The brand is the first American blend offering within the economy sector.

Madeleine Allen, senior brand manager at Imperial Tobacco, said the new cigarettes have been given exclusive distribution within selected areas of the south-east of England because there is a high propensity for additive-free tobacco products.

She said: “JPS Just Additive Free cigarettes will enable retailers in this geographic area to capitalise on the economy-price sector growth opportunity.”
