A quarter of all e-cigs could be banned under new regulation being brought in by the EU Tobacco Products Directive 2 in May. Here are five changes you must know about the new law.
1) Smaller refill containers
Nicotine will only be available in 10ml containers and customers will no longer be able to buy in bulk.
2) Smaller tanks and cartridges
Cartridges will be reduced to 2ml.
3) High-strength nicotine will be scrapped.
The maximum nicotine strength of vaping liquid will be reduced from 24mg to 20mg.
4) A change to how they work
They must be leak free and must provide a consistent dose.
5) Possible ban
The new rules allow for e-cigs and any vaping products to be banned across the EU, if three member states agree.
